Payments

Payment for daytime visits and dog walking is due at the end of the week. Vacation care and overnight payment is due before you leave. Payment may be made by check or cash, and will include sales tax.

Cancellations

If you need to cancel a scheduled visit, please make the cancellation by 9pm the night before. You may either email peace_of_mindps@hotmail.com or call or text me at 312-3360.

Introductory Meeting

To make sure that your pets will be properly cared for according to their specific needs, a meeting will need to be arranged in advance. This initial meeting is free and is necessary for you and your pet's comfort, as well as for my understanding. There will be a contract for you to sign, stating that you understand what services will be rendered and the amount to be paid. The contract and forms will be emailed to you prior to the meeting so you can fill them out.

Keys And Garage Codes

The keys to your house will be picked up at the initial meeting and tested to be sure they work properly. If there are power outages or dead batteries, it is necessary to have keys in addition to the garage code or garage door opener. If you use Peace of Mind several times during the year, I ask that there is a copy of the key made to keep on file. If you are coming home from vacation, please contact me to let me know that you have made it home safely and on time.

Peace of Mind Vacation

If I am planning on taking any vacation time, I will let you know a month in advance so you can make other arrangements. I can recommend other pet sitters or dog walkers that you can use while I am away if you so wish.

Late Returns/Emergency Contacts

If you are going to be late returning home, please let me know as soon as possible, so I can continue to care for your pets. If I am unable to accommodate your new schedule, you will need to contact your emergency contact person. Payment for any extra visits due to delays must be made within 3 days of return.

Extreme Weather Conditions

It is a good idea to make sure that a neighbor has a key to your home, in case I am unable to get to your home due to heavy snow and icy conditions. This way, they can make sure that your pets will be able to go outside for potty breaks and get fed and watered. If the weather is bad, I will contact you so that you can in turn contact them to let them know I will not be able to get there. Payments will be refunded immediately in this case.
